Why is the Nakie chair different from cheap camp chairs?

Cheap camp chairs usually feel good for about five minutes and are awkward and heavy to carry. The Nakie chair is lightweight, compact, quick to set up and made for real outdoor days, from camping and beach trips to festivals, picnics, road trips and weekend sport.

Is it comfortable for long sits?

Yes. We designed it for long days at weekend sport, outdoor events and festivals. Standard upright chairs can put your body in an awkward position, leaving you constantly shifting, slouching or standing up just to get comfortable. The ergonomic hammock-style seat supports your lower back and lets you gently rock, so you can settle in comfortably for hours.

Why does the chair rock?

Because sitting still should not mean sitting stiff. The rocking design moves gently with you, adding extra comfort while you lean back and relax outdoors. It’s a game changer for slow afternoons at camp, beach days, festivals and backyard hangs.

Is it strong? How much weight can it hold?

The Nakie chair is built with corrosion-proof aviation-grade 6013 aluminium and is weight rated to 150kg. Unlike most flimsy camping chairs you might be used to, it feels stable and strong, so you feel well supported.

What is the chair made from?

The frame is made from 100% recycled aviation-grade 6013 aluminium, paired with 100% recycled nylon. These materials are strong, lightweight, corrosion-proof and ideal for a long-lasting outdoor chair.

Is it easy to set up, and how small does it pack down?

Yes. It sets up in around 15 seconds, with no annoying loose parts, and packs down to just 43cm so it’s easy to carry, store in the car or take on your next trip.

How long will it last?

Like every Nakie product, our camping chair is backed by our lifetime warranty, so you can stop replacing cheap camping chairs every season. If it breaks under normal use, we’ll send you a brand new one free of charge.

Why Recycled Aluminium Matters

Aluminium smelting uses a huge amount of electricity. Recycled aluminium can use as little as 1% of the energy needed to produce new aluminium, while still giving you the strength, light weight and corrosion resistance you want in a camping chair.
